Worker’s compensation seminar offered at LTC

CLEVELAND, WI

Lakeshore Technical College and Safety Connections Alliance Partners are offering a seminar titled “Worker’s Compensation Issues—Are They Draining Your Bottom Line?,” the third seminar in their continuing Bottom Line series.

The seminar will be held Sept. 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Wells Fargo Room at LTC’s Cleveland campus. The class number is 65692 and the fee is $20. A continental breakfast is included.

The seminar will focus on helping companies improve bottom line results by strategically managing worker’s compensation claims and costs. Experts, representing employers, insurance carriers, medical providers and legal counsel will share proven worker’s compensation strategies and will participate in a panel discussion and answer questions. 

Participants will learn how to:

  • work effectively within the worker’s compensation system;
  • use cost containment tools;
  • work with the employee, insurance carrier and treating physician; and
  • prevent costly penalties, settlements and future litigation.


Presenters will include:

  • Phyllis Felsinger, vice president of Safety Connections;
  • Dennis B. Phillips, D.O., M.P.H., medical director of Occupational Health Services at Aurora Health Care’s Manitowoc clinic;
  • Tony Resimius, partner with the law firm of Rohde Dales LLP in Sheboygan; and
  • Tarra Riskey, AIC, AIS, worker’s compensation claims supervisor with Society Insurance.

The seminar is recommended for business owners, chief financial officers, human resource managers, safety managers, worker’s compensation managers and any other interested individuals.
