CLEVELAND, WI– The program was recertified in the following areas: brakes, drivetrains, electrical systems, engine performance, engine repair, heating and air conditioning, and steering and suspension. To receive this recognition, LTC’s automotive maintenance technician program underwent rigorous evaluation by NATEF to meet nationally accepted standards of excellence in areas like instruction, facilities and equipment. Upon completion of the evaluation, NATEF recommended ASE recertify the program. ASE is a national nonprofit organization that certifies automotive training programs and tests and certifies repair technicians. “As a result of the quality education provided by Lakeshore Technical College, the motoring public will benefit since better repair technicians will join the workforce,” NATEF Chair Donald Seyfer said. LTC’s automotive maintenance technician program has been consistently certified since 1995, and LTC’s auto collision repair and refinish technician technical diploma program has been consistently certified since 1994.
