| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 06/03/08 CLEVELAND, WI– The Lakeshore Technical College Board Appointment Committee has reappointed Nancy Crowley, Jutta Furca and Cindy Huhn to Lakeshore Technical College’s District Board. The appointment committee is made up of county board chairs from Calumet, Manitowoc, Ozaukee and Sheboygan counties. The Wisconsin Technical College System Board recently approved the reappointments. Crowley, Furca and Huhn’s term will run from July 1, 2008, through June 30, 2011. They join LTC Board Vice Chairperson Roy Kluss, Secretary/Treasurer Jerry Voechting and members Mirta Cabrera, Jim Lehrke, John Lukas and Dr. Joseph Sheehan.
Furca has served on the LTC Board since 1999. She is a promotional marketing specialist for Towsley’s, Inc, Manitowoc. She also serves on the Manitowoc County Crime Stoppers Board and the United Way
Huhn has served on the LTC Board since 2002, and is the current chairperson. She also has served as the Village of Cleveland president since 2001. She has been employed at Cleveland State Bank for 32 years and has served as vice president and cashier since 1999. Huhn is a member of the Manitowoc County Revolving Loan Fund and the Manitowoc County Municipal Executives Group. Each of Wisconsin’s 16 technical colleges is governed by a nine-member board of directors who serve staggered three-year terms and are responsible for the direct operation of their respective schools and programs.
Each district board is comprised of two employers, two employees, a school district administrator, a state or local elected official and three additional members as defined by statute. A district appointment committee composed of county board chairpersons or school board presidents appoints board members subject to the approval of the state system board.
