Students also interacted with 20 local employers throughout the day during formal presentations, workshops and informal question and answer sessions about strategies for a successful job search.

The day’s topics included:

  • Twenty-one strategies to make the most of your career and your life,
  • Basic survival skills workshops on resumes and interviews,
  • Tips on protocol and dressing for the job interview and job fair,
  • The how-to’s of being work ready and professional for a stress-free job search,
  • Strategies to gain experience and showcase skills through networking, and
  • The three-minute pitch to put your best foot forward in every conversation.
