CLEVELAND, WI

A Leveraging Lean Through Automation and Robotics Manufacturing Symposium will be presented at Lakeshore Technical College on May 7 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The symposium is ideal for manufacturers interested in automation and robotics, regardless of whether they currently use lean processes. The symposium will focus on the application of automation and robotics technology into manufacturing operations to optimize work flow. It will include three speakers and a manufacturers’ roundtable discussion.

The three speakers and their topics will be:

  • Dr. Henrik Christensen, KUKA chair of robotics and professor of computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology, presenting “The Case for Automation;”
  • Jody Zepnick, of Zepnick Solutions, Inc., presenting “Practical Applications for Automation and Robotics;” and
  • Norm Roller, principal at Suby, Von Haden & Associates, S.C., presenting “How to Finance Automation and Robotics.”

LTC is one of five Wisconsin technical colleges presenting the symposium in simulcast format. Attendees at all locations will hear the speakers’ presentations live and be able to ask questions about leveraging lean in their organizations.
