ALL PROGRAMS ELIGIBLE SCHOLARSHIPS


Joe Barta Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was created to honor deceased members of the Barta family. Applicants must be either a Washington or Mishicot high school graduate with a 2.5 GPA and can demonstrate financial need on application. Two awards of $500. Application Dates: April 15 & November 1.

Kohler Company Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in at least 6 credits and have already completed their first semester with a GPA of 2.5 or greater. Financial need will be determined through the FAFSA process. Award amount is $500; number of awards varies. Application Dates: April 15 & November 1.

LTC Board Scholarship – LTC Boards Award of Distinction
This scholarship is for an incoming LTC student with at least a 2.5 GPA from high school or a post-high institution other than LTC. Financial need will be determined through the FAFSA process. Recipient must be enrolled in at least 9 credits. Award amount varies as do the number of awards. Application Dates: April 15 & November 1

LTC Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship is available to new or current students that are enrolled in a minimum of 9 credits with at least a 2.5 GPA. Financial need must be documented on by FAFSA. Selection will be based on academic achievement, financial need and career goals. Award amount varies as do the number of awards. Application Dates: April 15 & November 1

LTC High School Incentive Scholarship
This scholarship is available to Lakeshore Technical College District public and private high school seniors who will be enrolling in a minimum of 6 credits at LTC for the 2008-09 academic year. Qualified applicants will have a minimum high school GPA of 2.25. Selection is based on information provided on the High School Incentive Scholarship Application form, including reference information completed by the high school guidance counselor or principal. Award amount: $600; 25 awards are available. Disbursements are coordinated through the Financial Aid office after the fifth week of the semester.
For consideration, completed application must arrive in the LTC Foundation Office by May 2.

LTC Retiree’s Scholarship
This scholarship is for all LTC students enrolled in either a Technical Diploma or Associate Degree program. Recipient must be enrolled in 12 credits and have at least a 3.0 GPA. One award of $400. Application Dates: April 15 & November 1.

Manitowoc Sunrise Rotary Scholarship
This scholarship is for any Manitowoc student in an associate degree program who has a financial need. The applicant must also be involved in service (church, school, community), and will be expected to attend a Manitowoc Sunrise Rotary Club meeting. Service involvement and financial need must be indicated in application.One award of $500. Application date: April 15.

Pentair Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is available to financially disadvantaged students enrolled at LTC. Applicants must be enrolled in associate degree or technical diploma program with 6 or more credits. Students must demonstrate a need for financial help and have completed FAFSA and on file at LTC. Students may have to participate in a scholarship interview. Award amount varies as do the number of awards. Application Date: November 1.

Sheboygan Service Club
This scholarship is available to residents of Sheboygan County who will be enrolled in the second semester or beyond of any program of study at LTC during the 2008-09 academic year.  Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5, and demonstrated history of volunteerism in the community. Three awards of $500. Disbursements are coordinated through the Financial Aid office after the sixth week of the semester.
For consideration, completed application and supporting documentation must arrive in the LTC Foundation Office by April 15.

Student Government Association Scholarship
This scholarship is for students enrolled in any program with a minimum of 3 credits during the semester for which the scholarship will be awarded. A minimum GPA of 3.2 is required. Recipients of award must also participate in a Lakeshore Technical College sponsored club. Award amount varies as do the number of awards. Application Dates: April 15 and November 1.

Bev Wallace Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in at least 12 credits and entering their second semester or beyond in any associate degree or technical diploma program. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants are not eligible if they receive any other form of financial aid. Applicants must clearly define financial need in the essay portion of the scholarship application and have FAFSA on file. Award amount varies as do the number of awards. Application Dates: April 15 and November 1.

Wells Fargo Scholarship
This scholarship provides aid to one student in their first year of any program at LTC and to one student in their second year in any LTC program. Applicants must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and enrolled in a minimum of 9 credits. Two awards of $1000. Application Dates: April 15 and November 1.

AGRICULTURE SCHOLARSHIPS


Bryce Larson LTC Agriculture Education Scholarship
This scholarship is for students enrolled in the Dairy Herd Management program. The applicant must have a 2.5 GPA or greater and be enrolled as a full-time student. Financial need must be indicated in the application. One award of $500. Application dates: April 15 and November 1.

Bryce Larson Farm Business and Production Management Scholarship
This scholarship is for students enrolled in the Farm Business and Production Management class. Five awards of $100. Application dates: April 15 and November 1.

BUSINESS AND TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIPS


Business and Marketing
This scholarship is for students enrolled in a Business or Marketing Program who have completed 9 credits and have a GPA of 2.5 or greater. Financial need should be demonstrated in application. One award of $250. Application date: November 1.

CIS Computer Club Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in a minimum of 10 credits in their second semester or beyond of any I.T. (CIS) Computer Information Systems programs. Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and participate in the LTC I.T. Student Club. Financial need must be documented through FAFSA processing. Note: The IT Instructional Team will provide verification of an applicant’s I.T. Student Club participation. One award of $250. Disbursements are coordinated through the Financial Aid office after the sixth week of the semester.
For consideration, completed application and supporting documentation must arrive in the LTC Foundation Office by November 1.

Graphics Scholarship
This scholarship is for students enrolled in the Graphic Design Program. The applicant must be enrolled in at least 12 credits and have a GPA of 3.0 or greater. Two awards of $500. Application dates: April 15 and November 1.

Jim Van Der Puy Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for students enrolled their second year in any of the Information Technology (IT) programs. This student must be enrolled currently in 9 credits and have a GPA of 3.25. Winning applicant is asked to attend AITP scholarship golf outing in August. One award of $500. Application date: April 15.

GED/HSED SCHOLARSHIPS


GOAL Staff Scholarship
This scholarship is for recent graduates of the GED/HSED program. Applicants can be enrolled in any program, but must be enrolled for a minimum of 6 credits during the semester in which the scholarship is awarded. No minimum GPA requirement. Letter of recommendation from a former or current employer or LTC instructor must be included with application. One award of $300. Application date: April 15.

Hazel D. Guetschow Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was created to offer financial aid to GED/HSED graduates. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits in any LTC program. One award of $400. Application date: April 15.

James Schild Scholarship
This scholarship is for former GOAL students or graduates from GED/HSED program who are enrolled in at least 6 credits and entering their second semester of any program with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Financial need must be demonstrated on application form. Two awards of $100. Application dates: April 15 and November 1.

HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES SCHOLARSHIPS


Delta Dental of Wisconsin Scholarship
This bi-annual (every two years) scholarship is for students in the Dental Hygiene Program. A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required and the student must be a Wisconsin resident, a second-year LTC student, must be enrolled in 12 credits. (2008 is next eligible year). One award of $750. Application date: April 15.

Eunice and Donald Dow Nursing Scholarship
This scholarship is for students enrolled in their second year of Associate Degree Nursing Program with a GPA of 2.5 or greater. Financial need must be demonstrated on application. Three awards of $500. Application date: April 15.

Faculty’s Nursing Scholarship – Associate Degree Nursing (ADN)
This scholarship is for students enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing program who have achieved a 3.0 GPA or greater in Nursing Processes I & II. Applicants must also be enrolled in the next semester of the ADN program. Two letters of recommendation from people other than ADN faculty is required as well as an essay describing goals in nursing, personal attributes, involvement in school, and community activities. One award of $250. Application date: November 1.

JAMCJ Scholarship
This scholarship is for students who are enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing Program in their second or third semesters, enrolled in 9 credits and have a GPA of 3.0 or greater. Applicant must demonstrate a “Spirit of Nursing” that is evident in the applicant’s respect and attitude towards others. One award of $400. Application date: April

Kathryn Grube Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in at least 12 credits and entering their second year of the Associate Degree Nursing program. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. One award of $500. Application date: April 15.

H. Marshall Matthews, MD Scholarship
This scholarship is for graduating Associate Degree Nursing students continuing their education at either Silver Lake College or UW-Oshkosh. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or greater. One award of $1000. Application dates: April 15 and November 1.

Medical Administrative Specialist/Transcriptionist (MAST) Club Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students who are in their second semester of the MAST program or are entering their second semester of the Medical Transcription program. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, must have completed 12 or more credits in the MAST or Medical Transcription program, must participate in the MAST club, and have FAFSA on file. Two awards of $500 for MAST Associate Degree; one award of $250 for Medical Transcription Technical Diploma. Disbursements are coordinated through the Financial Aid office after the sixth week of the semester.
For consideration, completed application and supporting documentation must arrive in the LTC Foundation Office by April 15 (for Fall) and November 1(for Spring) of second year MAST Associate Degree students; and by November 1 (for Spring) of second semester Medical Transcription Technical Diploma students.

Daniel R. Medina Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for students enrolled in the Associate Degree Nursing program. The applicant must be enrolled in at least 9 credits, must be a working adult who is pursuing a career change to Nursing – Associate Degree. The applicant must also be in his/her second semester of the program. There is no minimum GPA to be awarded this scholarship. One award of $500. Application date: November 1.

Sheboygan Internal Medicine Scholarship
This scholarship is for students enrolled in the Medical Assistant (MA) Program. Applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.0. One award of $500. Application dates: April 15 and November 1.

Adam Steel Scholarship
This scholarship is for LTC students from Manitowoc County who are enrolled in health care related fields. Preference is given to students in the nursing program. Applicants must be enrolled in their second semester or beyond and have a 3.0 GPA. Financial need must be documented in application. Award amount varies as do the number of awards. Application Dates: April 15 and November 1.

Walter Vollrath Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for students enrolled in Associate Degree Nursing Program with at least 9 credits. New students must have a GPA of 2.5 or greater. Preference will be given to applicants returning to school after entering the workforce. GPA for returning students is 2.0. One award of $500. Application dates: April 15 and November 1.

PUBLIC SAFETY SCHOLARSHIPS


Eunice and Donald Dow Public Safety Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in a Public Safety Program with a GPA of 2.5 or greater. Financial need must be demonstrated on application. One award of $500. Application date: April 15.

Orville Panosh Scholarship
This scholarship is for students entering their second semester of the Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement program. Applicants must be enrolled in at least 12 credits and have a minimum GPA of 2.5. One award of $500. Application date: November 1.

Leroy Nennig, Jr. Scholarship
This scholarship is for students enrolled in at least 12 credits in the Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement program. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to military personnel. Two awards of $500. Application dates: April 15 and November 1.

Dale Ten Haken Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in 12 credits or more in the second year of the Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement program. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or greater. Financial need must be stated in application. One or two awards of $500. Application date: November 1.

TRADE AND INDUSTRY SCHOLARSHIPS


Giles Doherty Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students who are enrolling for a minimum of 10 credits in their first semester of the Automotive Maintenance Technician program. Applicants must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.0, a GED/HSED total standard score of 250 or greater, or a minimum GPA of 2.06 from any other educational institution. This is a RENEWABLE scholarship as long as recipient continues to meet the scholarship eligibility requirements, including a minimum GPA of 2.5 for the remaining semesters of the program. Award checks will be issued per semester, according to the following schedule, to equal the total amount of the award by the fourth semester of the program. One renewable award of $3500 disbursed over 4 semesters (1st Semester=$500, 2nd Semester=$750, 3rd Semester=$1000, 4th Semester=$1250). Disbursements are coordinated through the Financial Aid office after the sixth week of the semester.
For consideration, completed application and supporting documentation must arrive in the LTC Foundation Office by April 15 (those enrolling for Fall start) and November 1 (those enrolling for Spring start).

Richard Gerstner Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in at least 6 credits in their second semester of the Machine Tool Operations Program. Applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.0. Financial need must be documented through FAFSA process. Two awards of $500. Application date: November 1.

Lakeshore Auto Body Collision Repair and Refinish Scholarship
This scholarship is for a student enrolled in Auto Body Collision Repair and Refinish Program and has already completed 12 credits. Applicants must also have a GPA of 2.5 or greater. Financial need should be demonstrated in application. One award of $250. Application dates: April 15 and November 1.

Dan Meyer Scholarship
This scholarship is available to students enrolled in their second year of the Electronics Program with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Financial need must be documented through the FAFSA process. One award, amount will vary. Application date: April 15.

Erik Pfeifer Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is for a second year student enrolled in Automotive Maintenance Technician Program enrolled in at least 9 credits with a minimum 2.75 GPA. The eligible student will be a graduate from Sheboygan North High School. If no student is eligible due to the Sheboygan North High graduate restriction, this restriction will be waived. One award of $750. Application date: April 15.

Greg Possley Scholarship
This scholarship is for students enrolled in at least 9 credits in the Auto Maintenance program with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Two letters of recommendation are required as well as a statement of financial need documented on the application. Applicants are only eligible for this scholarship once. One award of $100. Application dates: April 15 and November 1.
