How to Use LTC Student–Initiated Interlibrary Loan (WISCAT)
Materials not available at LTC library may be electronically requested through interlibrary loan from other libraries in the state. Items can be requested from a workstation in the library or from home. You must have a student ID number in order to complete the process.
Here's how it works:
You will find WISCAT at:
LTC home –> Current Students –> Library Services–> WISCAT
Or http://www.wiscat.net/agent/login.asp?cid=stwi&lid=wzja#
Click “Begin” to start searching.
Type your search terms into search bar and click “Search” to find items.
Click on title that you would like to view.
Click the "Request This Item" button in the upper right corner of screen to submit an electronic request form for the identified item.
In order to process your request you need to create a password, type your name, student ID number, phone number and email address into the required boxes.
Staff at LTC Library will see the request in their electronic interlibrary loan file, review it, and authorize the request to be transmitted to another library.
The library that owns the requested item will locate the item on their shelf and send it to LTC Library.
You will be notified by phone or email when the requested item has been received and is ready for you to pick up at LTC Library.
You must return the item to LTC Library before or on the date due to avoid late fee. ($1.00 per day per item).
Contact the library staff if you have any questions. Thank you.
