| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 04/23/08 CLEVELAND, WI– Lakeshore Technical College is offering small business seminars at the Cleveland campus in May and June. Participants will gain valuable information to better manage their businesses. “Overview of Small Business Software” will be held May 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The class number is 27322, and the fee is $39. Participants will learn about small business accounting software programs, such as QuickBooks, Peachtree and Microsoft Small Business. Add-on software programs like point-of-sale solutions, inventory management, credit card and online banking integration and customer relationship management also will be discussed. The class will be presented by certified public accountants Mike Bruflat and Linda Erdmann of Schenck Business Solutions. “QuickBooks Intro – Is QuickBooks Right for My Business?” will be held June 24 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The class number is 40757, and the fee is $39. Participants will learn the basics of bookkeeping for small businesses, including how QuickBooks can help them set up customers, vendors and employees; enter invoices and bills; receive payments; pay bills and write checks; record bank deposits, transfers and reconciliations; and create payroll checks, journal entries, income statements and balance sheets. Bruflat, who also is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, will be the presenter. Both seminars will be held in the Manitowoc County Training Room in the Lakeshore Building, and free parking is available in the east (second entrance) parking lot.
