LTC offering safety training seminars

Lakeshore Technical College is offering safety training seminars at the Cleveland campus in February.

Emergency Action Plans Seminar is a new seminar that will be held Feb. 8 from 8 a.m. to noon. The class number is 20077, and the fee is $110.

Fall Protection Harness/Lanyard Seminar will be held Feb. 15 from 8 a.m. to noon. The class number is 20075, and the fee is $110.

Emergency Coordinator Seminar will be held Feb. 20 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class number is 20058, and the fee is $215.

Confined Space Entrant/Attendant/Supervisor Seminar will be held Feb. 21 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class number is 20054, and the fee is $215.

Confined Space Rescue Seminar will be held Feb. 22 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class number is 20056, and the fee is $225.

Forklift—Train the Trainer Workshop will be held Feb. 25 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The class number is 20069, and the fee is $295.

Forklift—Train the Trainer Refresher will be held Feb. 25 from 8 a.m. to noon. The class number is 20071, and the fee is $110.

Forklift Safety Classroom Course will be held Feb. 25 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The class number is 20067, and the fee is $80.

The seminars will be held in LTC’s Public Safety Training Center. The center is equipped to provide hands-on hazardous material training and technical assistance to companies. The center consists of a lecture hall and classrooms, two indoor arenas and an Emergency Operations Center, which contains state-of-the-art equipment and technology related to emergency services and serves primarily as a training simulation facility.

The center’s outdoor arena is equipped with specific simulator training stations that include a two-story computerized search and rescue building used for hands-on emergency response and fire training. The center provides students an opportunity to apply and analyze their training in real world situations.
