LTC Nursing Program Announces Revamped Admissions Process
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CLEVELAND, WI –
Lakeshore Technical College has revamped the admissions process for its Nursing- Associate Degree program, significantly reducing wait times for potential students.
“Our new, redesigned admissions process means new students can get started on their nursing careers faster and avoid long waiting lists,” said Marilyn Kaufmann, LTC Nursing-Associate Degree Department Chair. “For example, students who complete their general education classes during the fall semester will be ready to begin Nursing program coursework five months later.”
LTC Nursing students are trained in the college's high-tech clinical skills lab—which includes adult, pediatric and obstetric simulators—by full time faculty who teach both nursing theory and clinical application.
“LTC has one of the best Nursing programs in the area,” Kaufmann said, “and boasts high employer and graduate satisfaction, excellent job placement rates, more affordable tuition and board certification pass rates well above the national average.”
Students who earn an associate degree from LTC in two years are eligible to take state board certification and become an RN. In addition, LTC Nursing graduates can easily transfer their associate degrees to many bachelor's and master's programs.
LTC's Nursing-Associate Degree program, accredited by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission, is accepting new students for August 2012 admission.
“Because a limited number of openings are available for August start,” Kaufmann said, “interested students are asked to contact the college as soon as possible.”
