LTC Foundation Scholarships

To apply for any of the scholarships listed below, simply complete the general scholarship application online.

The online scholarship application link will open again on August 28, 2017 for students to apply for the Spring, 2018 term.

  • Bryce Larson Agriculture Education Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student in Agribusiness program. Requirements include GPA of 2.5 or better and full time enrollment.

    East Wind Garden Club Scholarship

    Awards $250 to a student  in Horticulture or Landscaping programs. Requirements include GPA of 3.5 or better.

    Ivy League Garden Club of Sheboygan Scholarship

    Awards $250 to a student in Horticulture or Landscape programs. Requirements include GPA of 3.5 or better who is entering the fourth and final semester of the program. Full time enrollment required, and preference given to residents of Sheboygan County.

    Lake Shore Garden Club Horticultural Scholarship

    Awards $400 to a student in Horticulture program. Requirements include GPA of 3.5 or better who has completed at least one year of the program. Student must be a nontraditional or adult taking at least 8 credits and have financial need. Preference given to those with an interest in a future career in horticulture or landscaping.

    Lori Woelfel Memorial Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student in Sustainable Landscape or Horticulture. Requirements include GPA of 3.0 or better, financial need and full time enrollment. Preference given to a returning adult student.

    Sheboygan District Garden Federation Scholarship

    Awards $250 to a student in Horticulture program. Requirements include GPA of 3.5 or better who has completed at least one year of the program. Student must be a nontraditional or adult taking at least 8 credits and have financial need. Preference given to those with an interest in a future career in horticulture or landscaping.

  • CIS (Computer Instructional Systems) Scholarship

    Awards $250 to a student in IT. Requirements include GPA of 3.2 or better, financial need, full time enrollment, participation in the LTC IT Club and at least one completed semester at LTC.

    Dan Meyer Scholarship

    Awards $300 to a student in Electro-Mechanical program. Requirements include financial need and half-time enrollment.

    Gene Haas Foundation

    Scholarships awarded to students in CNC Tech program; variable amounts. Requirements include GPA of 2.0 or better, financial need, and enrolled in at least the second semester of the program.

    IT Web & Software Development Scholarship

    This scholarship assists committed students enrolled in the LTC Web & Software Development Program who have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or higher and have completed at least one semester of the program. The scholarship supports students who are working at least part-time and demonstrate a strong commitment to completing their educational goals.

    Nadine C. Schreiter I.T. Computer Support Specialist Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student in the IT Computer Support Specialist program. Requirements include GPA of 3.0 or better, financial need, full time enrollment, and completion of the first year of the program.

  • Culinary Arts Professionalism & Academic Merit Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student in Culinary Arts program. Requirements include GPA of 3.0 or better, financial need and full time enrollment.

    Kohler Company Scholarships

    Kohler Co. Culinary Arts Scholarship awards full tuition, books and supplies to 2 students in Culinary Arts. Requirements include being a new student in the Culinary Arts program, a GPA of 2.5 or better, financial need and full time enrollment. Applicants should have a strong interest in employment with the Kohler Company. Renewable for program completion over a two year period.

  • LTC GED/HSED Graduate Scholarship

    Awards $250 - $500 to a student who earned a GED, HSED or ABE at LTC.

  • Bev Wallace Scholarship

    Awards $250. Requirements include GPA of 3.0 or better, financial need and full time enrollment.

    Chris and Lou Ann Meyer Scholarship

    Awards $500 at the discretion of the LTC Foundation.

    College JumpStart Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a high school student enrolling in dual credit coursework to assist with tuition, books, equipment or tools.

    Dr. Arnold & Lucille Feider Scholarship

    Awards $1,000. Preference given to a student in the first term of the Certified Nursing Assistant program. Requirements include financial need. Scholarship can be renewed based upon academic performance.

    James and Mary Lou French Scholarship

    Initiated by the four children of James L. and Mary Lou French in tribute to their parents' legacy, the scholarship supports students from Sheboygan County regardless of degree program, age or full vs part time status.  Financial need is a factor. Scholarship can be renewed, based upon academic performance.

    James Schild Memorial Scholarship

    Honoring Jim Schild, a former LTC employee who highly valued a technical college education, this scholarship awards $250 to a student entering the second semester of any associate degree or technical diploma program. Student must have financial need and at least a 2.5 GPA. 

    Joe Barta Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a graduate from Mishicot High School. Requirements include GPA of 2.5 or better and financial need.

    Kohler Civic Club Scholarship

    Sponsored by the Kohler Civic Club, this $1,500 award supports a recent graduate of Kohler High School. 

    Lakeshore Education Association Scholarship

    Initiated by the Lakeshore Education Association to support a new student and a returning student each semester. Requirements include high financial need at least a 2.5 GPA.

    LTC Alumni Legacy Scholarship

    Established in 2016 through the generosity of the LTC Alumni, this award supports students facing financial barriers to achieve their educational and career goals. Requirements include high financial need and a commitment to education. Awarded at the discretion of the LTC Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee.

    LTC Futures Scholarship

    Funded by the Promising Futures Campaign, this scholarship supports multiple students who are enrolled in at least 9 credits in a degree program. Awards range between $500 - $1,500. Requirements include high financial need and at least a 2.5 GPA. Students age 24 or older within the academic year will be considered. Awarded at the discretion of the LTC Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee.

    LTC Foundation General Scholarships

    Requirements include high financial need and a commitment to education. Awarded at the discretion of the LTC Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee.

    LTC Foundation High School Scholarships

    Awards $500 to a student who is a current graduate of a local high school in the LTC District.

    LTC Retirees' Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student in any Technical Diploma or Associate program. Requirements include GPA of 3.0 or better and full time enrollment.

    LTC Student Leadership Scholarship

    A $500 award supports student leaders actively involved in LTC clubs or student organization. 

    LTC Vice Presidents' Retention Scholarship

    Awards up to $750 to a student enrolled in a skilled gap program. Does not support enrollment in healthcare, public safety or apprenticeship programs. Requirements include financial need, half-time enrollment, LTC distric resident and a clearly defined career goal.

    Non-Financial Aid Program Scholarship

    A $500 award supports students enrolled in classes or programs not eligible for federal or state funding.

    Sheboygan Rotary Club

    Awards $1,000 to a recent high school graduate. Requirements also include GPA of 3.0 or better and Sheboygan County resident. Applicants should demonstrate a capacity for leadership and good character, and must be involved in community, school, work or church activities.

    Sheboygan Service Club Foundation Scholarships

    Awards $500 to a Sheboygan County resident. Requirements include GPA of 3.5 or better and demonstration of volunteer efforts in the community.

    Students Of Color Scholarship

    Awards range from $250 to $1,000 to selected students of color. Applicants must submit an essay outlining their educational and career goals, along with supplemental information.

    Sunrise Rotary of Manitowoc Scholarship

    Awards $1,000 to a student enrolled in any associate degree program. Requirements include GPA of 3.0 or better, financial need, enrolled in at least 9 credits, Manitowoc County resident and community service/volunteer experience.

    Tara Ann Benter Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student in Early Childhood program. Requirements include GPA of 3.25 or better, financial need, and at least one completed semester at LTC.

    Technical Excellence Scholarship

    Awarded to LTC District high school seniors who have demonstrated a high level of proficency in technical education subjects through enrollment and completion of Early College programs.  Renewable for up to 2 semesters. 

    Thomas Achieving Dream Scholarship

    Awards $250 to a member or inductee of Phi Theta Kappa. Requirements include demonstration of roles in the community or volunteer work.

    Virginia McIntyre Scholarship

    Awards $500 to incoming students from Random Lake High School. Requirements include a minimum GPA of 2.5 and full-time enrollment.

  • Adam Steel Scholarship Family Scholarship Fund of the Lakeshore Community Foundation

    Requirements include enrollment in Nursing Associate Degree program with a minimum GPA 3.0.
    Student must be a Manitowoc County Resident, have completed at least one semester and have financial need.

    Donald and Eunice Dow Nursing/Health Care Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student enrolled in a Healthcare Program. Requirements included a minimum GPA of 2.5 and financial need.

    Esther M. Lohuis Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student that is a Sheboygan or Manitowoc County resident committed to the nursing program. Requirements include a GPA of 2.25 or higher, financial need, and enrollment in a 2 year associated degree program. Preference given to part-time enrollment.

    Health & Human Services Scholarships

    An award of $500 is made possible by the generous support of LTC staff and alumni to students in health and human service programs who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement and professional goals. 

    Kathryn Grube Memorial Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a resident of Manitowoc County enrolled in the Nursing Program. Requirements include a minimum GPA of 3.0, enrolled full-time and completion of at least one semester.

    Laura E. Piontkowski Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student in the CNA Program. High financial need is required.

    LTC Nursing Excellence Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student enrolled fulltime in the LTC Nursing Associate Degree program or Practical Nursing program. Requirements include a GPA of 2.8 or higher and financial need.

    Nurses Training Scholarship sponsored by the 40&8 Charitable Honor Society of American Veterans

    Awards $400 to a student entering their second year of the LTC Nursing Associate Degree program. Requirements include a GPA of 2.8 or higher and financial need.

    Ruth St. John and John Dunham West Foundation Adam Steel Scholarship

    Requirements include Manitowoc County resident enrolled in Nursing Associate Degree program, a minimum GPA of 3.0, financial need and completion of at least semester.

    Susan Roy Nursing Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student enrolled in the Nursing Associate Degree Program. Requirements include enrollment in at least 6 credits with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

    Walter Vollrath Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student enrolled in at least 9 credits in the Nursing program. Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0.

    Wisconsin Hospital Association (WHA)

    Awards $2,000 to a student enrolled full-time in the final semester of the Nursing Associate Degree program. Requirements include a GPA of 2.8 or higher and a commitment to the healthcare field.

  • Donald & Eunice Dow Public Safety Scholarship

    Awards between $500-$1,000 to a student in a Public Safety program with a financial need.  Requirements include a 2.5 GPA or higher.

    Leroy Nenning, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student in the Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Program. Requirements include a GPA 3.0 or higher and full-time enrollment. Preference is given to veterans.

    Officer Trevor Casper Memorial Scholarship

    This scholarship was established through the generosity of Lakeshore Technical College staff and friends in memory of Officer Trevor Casper, a May 2014 LTC graduate of the Criminal Justice Program, the youngest state trooper who lost his life in the line of duty. The scholarship is to be awarded to a student(s) enrolled in the college's Criminal Justice program who demonstrates interest in a future career in law enforcement and a commitment to achieving his or her educational goals.

    Orville Panosh Memorial Scholarship

    Awards $250 to a student in the first term of the Criminal Justice Program. Requirements include a minimum GPA of 3.0, enrollment in at least 9 credits and financial need.

    Steve Koeser Memorial Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a full-time Sheboygan County student who is enrolled in the Fire Medic, Emergency Medical Tech or Paramedic Programs. Requirements include a minimum GPA of 2.5, financial need and participation in volunteer activities.

  • Bill Olson Memorial Scholarship

    Awards $250 to a Manitowoc or Sheboygan high school senior entering the Electro-Mechanical Program with a 2.0 GPA or better.

    Doherty Trust Scholarship 

    Awarded to a student in the Automotive Maintenance Technician program with a minimum GPA of 2.0 and enrolled in at least 10 credits.
    Award amount is on a graduated schedule and student must continue to meet criteria to receive continuing awards. Awards range between $500-$1,250.

    Donald W. Bruns Memorial Scholarship 

    Awards $500 to a student in Machine Tool Operation.  Requirements include a GPA of 2.5 or higher and financial need.

    Erik Pfeiffer Memorial Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a student enrolled in Trade & Industry Technical Program (Automotive). Requirements include a minimum GPA 2.75, enrollment in at least 9 credits, and completion of at least 2 semesters. Preference will be given to Sheboygan North High School Graduates.

    Georgia Pacific Electro-Mech Scholarship
    Awards $1000 to a full-time student enrolled in the Electro-Mech Program with financial need and a minimum GPA of 2.5. This award may be renewable to selected recipient throughout full four-semester award cycle.
    Greg Possley Scholarship

    Awards $300 to a student in the Auto Maintenance Program. Requirements include enrollment in at least 8 credits, financial need, and has not received the scholarship in the past.

    Jagemann Stamping Scholarship

    Scholarship supports a student in the second semester in any metal working program. Requirements include a minimum GPA of 2.5 and financial need. Priority consideration is given to Machine Tool students.

    Jerome C. Brendel Memorial Scholarship

    Established in memory of Jerome C. Brendel, this scholarship supports a second year CNC student with a $1,000 renewable scholarship.  Requirements include financial need, a 3.0 cumulative GPA and enrollment of at least 9 credits.

    Kenny Bessert Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a Full-time T&I Manufacturing program student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and financial need.

    Kohler Company Scholarships

    Awards 2 scholarships that include full tuition, books and supplies to 2 students in Electro-Mechanical program. Requirements include being a new student in the Electro-Mechanical Associates degree program, a high school GPA of 2.5 or better, financial need and full time enrollment. Applicants should have a strong interest in employment with the Kohler Company. Renewable for program completion over a two year period. --Awards 2 scholarships that include full tuition, books and supplies to 2 students in Industrial Maintenance programs. Requirements include being a new student in either the Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Mechanic program, a high school GPA of 2.5 or better, financial need and full time enrollment. Applicants should have a strong interest in employment with the Kohler Company. Renewable for program completion over a two year period.

    Marine Travelift Scholarship

    Funded by Marine Travelift/ExacTech, this award supports $500 scholarships in CNC, Electro-Mechanical and Welding. Requirements include a minimum GPA of 2.5. 

    NEW Manufacturing Alliance Scholarship (Technical Diploma)

    Awards $1000 to a student enrolled in one-year technical diploma manufacturing program. Requirements include a minimum GPA of 2.75 and must be 25 yrs or older. 

    NEW Manufacturing Alliance Scholarship

    Awards of $500 and $1,000 to two studenst enrolled in manufacturing associate degree program. Requirements include a minimum GPA of 2.75.

    Nuclear Supplier Association Scholarship

    Established by the Nuclear Suppliers Association to train the next generation of nuclear industry workers.  The scholarship of $500 is awarded to a student in the Nuclear Tech program with a minimum 2.5 GPA and financial need.

    Nuclear Technology Scholarship

    Established by Dominion Energy to train the next generation of nuclear industry workers.  The scholarship of $750 is awarded to a student in the Nuclear Tech program with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Other requirements include living within the LTC District service area and enrollment in at least 6 credits.

    Randall J. Roethel LTC Scholarship

    Awards $500 to two Oostburg High graduates enrolled full-time in Machine Tool, Welding, Electro-Mechanical, Industrial Maint. or Supply Chain with a GPA of 2.5 or greater.

    Richard Gerstner Memorial Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a current part or full-time student enrolled in Machine Tool Program. Requirements include a GPA of 3.0 or higher and financial need.

    Rockline Scholarship

    Award of $500 established by Rockline Industries to support an incoming student enrolling in a Trade & Industry program. Requirements include financial need, commitment to program completion and interest in a full-time career in manufacturing. 

    Skana Aluminum Co. Manufacturing Scholarship

    Awards $2,500 to a full-time Manitowoc County student enrolled in the Manufacturing Management Associate Degree program. Requirements include a minimum GPA of 2.85 and financial need.

    Stoney Jo Memorial Scholarship

    For a student enrolled in either Building Construction or Trades Apprenticeship Program with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and financial need.

    Willard Blanke Memorial Scholarship

    Awards $500 to a Sheboygan County full or part-time student that has completed at least one semester at LTC in a trades program.
